Furnished to a 4★ standard with oak furniture and elegant décor, it’s the perfect base for both visiting professionals and holidaymakers.Located in the centre of the historic town of Stornoway, this Victorian Villa offers the ability to embrace the convenience of the local restaurants, take aways and supermarkets with the historic sites and stunning beaches that Lewis has to offer within a short drive.

The house offers three comfortable bedrooms and sleeps up to four guests. A bright, sunny dining kitchen with a dishwasher makes mealtimes a pleasure, while two modern shower rooms add extra convenience.

Guests enjoy free high-speed WiFi and off-street parking — ideal for work trips or exploring the island by car. Shops, restaurants, cafés, and other amenities are just a 2-minute stroll away, placing the best of Stornoway right on your doorstep.

Whether you’re here on business or looking to discover the beauty of the Outer Hebrides, this stylish townhouse combines Victorian charm with modern comfort for a memorable stay.

The property is ideally situated for exploring the island by car, bicycle or on foot, on the recently established Hebridean Way. The Hebridean Way begins on the Isle of Vatersay in the south of the archipelago and comes north to Achmore and eventually end at the Butt of Lewis, the most northerly point on the Isle of Lewis.

Property Details

Stornoway from the Castle grounds

Sleeping up to 4 people, the cottage is arranged over two levels. There are three double bedrooms, one with two twin beds which zip and link together to form a superking size bed. The two shower rooms, although both on the ground floor, offer the convenience you need, with one also having a washer/dryer. The cosy sitting room has an electric fireplace set on a tiled hearth, and the kitchen/ dining room enjoys evening sunlight.

In keeping with its character, the townhouse has been furnished in a modern classic style, including solid oak furniture. Each bed is dressed in crisp, white egyptian cotton linen, and top quality, deep mattresses for a blissful nights sleep. Modern technology hasn’t been overlooked with WiFi available throughout the property and a 43 inch tv available for quiet nights in. In the kitchen, a dishwasher, induction hob with fan oven are available along with a fridge/freezer.

Outside, the garden has a secluded patio area that catches the sun during the day and is equipped with a table and chairs ideal for outdoor picnics. As with our other properties, we don’t accept pets in our Townhouse.

Policies

Deposit Policy

A deposit of 30% of the total rental cost is payable by Cheque, Bank Transfer or Paypal.
The balance of payment is due to be paid eight weeks prior to arrival date. Bookings will be held for five calendar days pending receipt of your deposit. Failing which, after five days the provisional booking will be cancelled. On receipt of your deposit the booking will be confirmed by email or in writing and your reservation status will be changed to ‘Confirmed’.

Cancellation Policy

If you require to cancel a reservation we must be notified by telephone immediately and cancellation must be confirmed in writing within 5 calendar days.

We will make every effort to re-let the property. You will be reimbursed 70% of the total rental cost if we re-let the property to another party. If we are unable to re-let, cancellation costs will be as follows:
More than 8 weeks before booking commences your deposit will be forfeited
Fewer than 8 weeks you will be liable to pay the full rental.

Adverse travel conditions

In the event of ferry/plane disruptions due to bad weather conditions or any form of industrial action we cannot be held responsible for non-arrival of guests and no refunds will be given. We therefore recommend that you have travel insurance to cover your holiday with us.
