Valasay Crofthouse

Valasay is the ideal location for exploring the Island of Lewis as a 40 minute drive will take you to the beautiful and rugged Uig District to the west, or a 30 minute drive in the other direction will take you to the Westside of Lewis. Here you can visit the enigmatic Callanish Standing Stone Circles, The Doune Carloway Iron Age Broch and the Gearrannan or Arnol Blackhouses. A 45 minute drive from Valasay will take you to Stornoway our main centre of population.

Atlantic View Cottage

This traditional stone cottage, on Great Bernera, Isle of Lewis, has just been extensively renovated and upgraded and just like Valasay, our other property, it has been awarded 4 star grading by VisitScotland. It is a great location for walking, being on the coastal walking route to the beautiful Bosta beach where you’ll find an Iron Age house. The old byre, by the house, offers storage facilities for kayaks, and the cottages location by the sea means that kayaks can be launched from the 12 acre croft to explore the area around Loch Roag.
